The stone, a polished Sun Shard, was chosen to reflect the cheerful and radiant personality of Princess Anastasia. The stone, with its inclusions of rutile, was set in an invisible air frame, a feature that sets this piece of jewelry apart from others.

The Sunshine brooch was first conceived in 2011, and after a year of active discussion and material search, it was completed in 2013. It was first presented at an exhibition in Bishkek.
